Garlic and its benefits

The food served in Italian Restaurants have a reputation of being, well... garlicky.

Apart from giving Italian food its charachteristic taste, however, garlic has many meidicinal qualities that helps you keeping healthy.

Indeed, garlic aid digestion, is a preventive against many diseases, helps lowering blood pressure and reducing blood sugar levels.

Having said this, there's still the problem of garlic breath. This can be however prevented in large part through cooking: one should cook garlic gently and take care not to overcook and become unpleasantly bitter.

Crushing garlic is also another way of taking advantage of its health benefits and still be able to go on a date or a business meeting afterwards!
